Papers, 1919-1933, include correspondence to Collins, from his mother, Mount Pleasant (Mich.) about family affairs, Jan. 10, 1933; from P.G. Lantz, Superintendent of the Training School at Central Michigan Normal School, now Central Michigan University, to Collins at Junior High School, Stambaugh (Mich.) about his teaching career, April 6, 1925; and one from Rev. Joseph H. Green, First Presbyterian Church, about a speech Collins gave at a service honoring Mr. and Mrs. Charles Slater, Nov. 24, 1919, including the program with photographs of the Slaters. The Slaters' obituaries (copies) are included.

In 1919 Collins, a teacher, lived on N. Lansing St., Mount Pleasant (Mich.). In 1933 he taught at Junior High School, Stambaugh (Iron County, Mich.). Joseph Green was the minister at First Presbyterian Church in 1919. Charles Slater (Oct. 27, 1846-March 17, 1932) was the son of William and Sarah H. Slater.
